What is the McKenzie Method?

The McKenzie Method is a comprehensive approach to pain resolution and the goals of Mollie, our McKenzie therapist, are to:

  • Devise an appropriately effective and efficient treatment plan
  • Eliminate pain symptoms through functional exercises and stretches
  • Educate and empower the patient to self-treat and prevent re-occurrences

The McKenzie method is relevant for a wide range of symptoms including back, neck, shoulder, and knee pain and is a world-wide known and utilized treatment protocol. It is practiced through the understanding that most pain is mechanical in nature, originating from musculoskeletal sources such as bad posture, improper muscle balance, or acute sports injuries. The unique Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy technique implored through the McKenzie Method are holistic and aim to resolve pain symptoms without needles, injections, surgery, and other invasive, costly medical procedures. Most importantly, Mollie will strive to achieve great results while reducing future dependency on medical intervention to help patients live pain-free.
