What is Kinesiotaping?

Kinesiotaping is a rehabilitative technique used on soft tissue injuries that is designed to cooperate with and enhance the body’s natural healing process. Kinesiotape offers benefits such as added support, improved blood circulation, and extended soft tissue manipulation to prolong the benefits of manual therapy administered within the clinical setting. Patients also find that the Kinesiotaping is a physical ‘reminder’ to protect the injured area and maintain proper movement mechanics.

Kinesiotaping is a supplemental, additional technique used after manual and physical therapy has been performed by your provider. The tape may stay on for 3-5 days after application and may get wet. For additional information, feel free to contact us or schedule an appointment.
